Spring’s The Time For Plants & Planting

The calendar tells us that March 20 is the first day of spring. But when you live along the Atlantic coast, you learn to expect the unexpected. And there’s still a chill in the air. The Julia’s Florist team believes that the best way to chase away the winter chill, and the blahs that accompany it, is by filling your house, your workplace, your office, or work cubicle with plants that bloom.

We have an assortment of Blooming Plants, including the Kalanchoe that’s pictured. This succulent is ideal for any bright place – whether the light comes from windows or full spectrum lights. Place it on a desk, an end table, a console table, a coffee table, or a dresser or bedside table in a bedroom. The fleshy leaves hold water, so this plant will forgive you if you forget to water it from time to time. Pick off spent blooms to enjoy continuous flowering. When summer arrives, take your kalanchoe outside to bask in the warm sunshine.

As winter supposedly winds down, we crave the site of color that’s been lacking throughout the season where days are shorter, gloomier, and colder. Since we can’t control Mother Nature’s behavior, the next best thing is to bring color into our homes and workplaces. Let the experienced team of blooming plant lovers at Julia’s Florist help you choose a plant to place in your home or workplace. Better yet, create a container garden to put in your home or office. No matter what the weather does outside, you can feel the warmth of springtime planting when you infuse the areas where you work and live with blooming plants.
