We aren’t even a month into summer, and our floral design team here at Julia’s Florist is already thinking about the upcoming school year. We are gearing up for the school year when our customers like to give their children’s teachers or guidance counselors, gifts of flowers to thank them for all they do during the school year.
If you haven’t already met your children’s grade school teachers, the school may have some scheduled program so parents can meet their kids’ teachers. If you have high-school age kids, they may have to meet with their school counselor to choose their classes and talk about their future dreams and aspirations. Perhaps you have children who are heading to college. Some of you may have kids who are going off to college for the first time. Maybe you have children who are returning to college after the summer break.
To help you rekindle your “back-to-school spirit,” we’ve come up with a few ideas that we hope will help you in your quest to find flowers to give those important people when school starts again at the end of the summer, or early this fall.
When you want to send a gift to express your warm wishes, you need a gift that exudes warmth. Our Basket of Wishes arrangement will send the warm wishes you want to extend in high style. We think that warmth and sunshine go hand and hand together. We fill the basket with yellow flowers, including lilies, roses, and daisies. We add some yellow accents and top the arrangement off with a decorative butterfly.
Another way to show someone, whether a teacher or other faculty member or for your student child, is the arrangement we call “Because You’re Special.” We use a tall clear glass vase and fill it with brightly colored flowers. The color and flower variety may vary, but Gerbera daisies and lilies are commonly used in this arrangement. We add a decorative ribbon to give the arrangement a more sophisticated and elegant look.
When you want something that will not overpower a small desk or end or bedside table, you’ll get a huge impact with our Sunshine Bowl. We use a small bubble bowl and fill it with beautiful big sunflowers, solidaster, and lemon leaves. The casual arrangement has a whimsical feel that is sure to make any recipient feel appreciated.
Don’t wait to send your back to school flowers.
