The daisy is actually a flowering plant, and each flower is, in reality, a composite of many distinct “florets”. If you look closely at a daisy you will see that each petal is an individual floret, and the colorful disk center is made up of a collection of tiny tubular flowers. The classic white and gold daisy is known as an English daisy, while the Shasta, Marguerite, and African daisies are other popular varieties.
