Anne Hathaway – Anemones
A beautiful and talented actress, Anne Hathaway’s favorite flower is the bright and beautiful anemone. A delicate wildflower that blooms in a wide array of colors, the anemone is also loved by florists and gardeners alike. There are various meanings associated with the anemone flower, too – like peace and purity for white ones, forsaken love for red ones and pink, and protection from evil spirits for purple ones.
Audrey Hepburn – Lily of the Valley
The graceful yet talented Audrey Hepburn is loved for iconic film roles as much as for her humanitarian work in less fortunate countries. It does not surprise her favorite flower is the charming and delicate Lily of the Valley. Also known as the “May Lily,” this delicate yet regal bloom symbolizes happiness and good fortune. A fragrant flowering plant, Lily of the Valley, is often used in religious and celebratory ceremonies. Audrey used the Lily of the Valley flowers in her wedding bouquet.
Madonna – White Roses
One of the most famous women in the world, Madonna’s favorite flower is the delicate and pristine white rose. She takes her love of white roses on the road with her, where she has them waiting for her in her dressing room whenever she performs. The white rose has a lot of different meanings, besides the commonly known ones of purity, innocence, and love. For example, white roses also symbolize focus, peace, and happiness. In Greek mythology, the white rose is connected to Adonis, the god of rebirth and renewal.
Michelle Obama – Hydrangeas and Pink Roses
Michelle Obama, former First Lady, lawyer, and author, is known for her elegance and passion for the projects she takes on. It is no surprise, then, that her favorite flowers are the hydrangea and rose. Each flower variety comes in a variety of beautiful colors and is loved by gardeners and floral designers the world over. Roses symbolize love and passion, and hydrangea symbolizes abundance, beauty, heartfelt emotions, and gratitude – traits that perfectly describe these remarkable women.
