At Julia’s Florist, we’re anticipating one very important holiday that focuses on love coming up in February, and no, we’re not talking about Valentine’s Day. On February 13th, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating Galentine’s Day, an occasion dedicated entirely to honoring the friendship between women.

This fictional holiday came about after a 2010 episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation where main character Leslie Knope took all of her besties to lunch after declaring it “the best day of the year” and officially calling it Galentine’s Day. The idea took off, and every year, more and more women get their girls together to celebrate their love for each other.

In Leslie’s version, gifts are exchanged, and we are officially on board with that aspect. Rather than give your friends a dozen long-stemmed roses though – which they’ll get plenty of, come February 14 – give them something a little more lighthearted like our A Vibrant Garden.
